    WHAT HAPPENS WHEN AN ESTATE PLANNING MEETING IS SCHEDULED?<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/h3>\n

    You will receive a \u201cwill worksheet\u201d to complete to the best of your ability before the meeting.\u00a0 The will worksheet will educate you with respect to most of the issues which will need to be addressed in your estate plan and will ask you to make as many preliminary decisions about these matters as possible before the initial meeting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    The worksheet will also allow you to provide information needed for you and Steve to understand all of the important facts about your family situation which relate to your estate plan.<\/span><\/p>\n

    At our first meeting, which can be by phone or in person, we will work our way through your worksheet.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    The goals for that meeting will be:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    * to further your education by clarifying and elaborating concepts as necessary<\/span><\/p>\n

    * to help you make as many decisions as possible about the important components of your estate plan<\/span><\/p>\n

    * to determine the basic outline of your estate plan<\/span><\/p>\n

    * to give you an estimate of the cost (choice between flat rate and hourly fee)<\/span><\/p>\n

    * to get an agreement regarding payment for my services<\/span><\/p>\n

    * to get a payment in full from you (to be deposited in an attorney trust account and paid after work has been completed), and,<\/span><\/p>\n

    * to set all of our deadlines for completing the various stages of the process.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    When working with a couple, it is very important for both spouses to be present during this meeting.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    What happens after<\/span><\/em> the first meeting?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

    After the first meeting, Steve will either have enough information to begin drafting your documents or you will need to go home and decide\/discuss some more issues and communicate your decisions to Steve so he will know what to write.\u00a0 Thereafter, all of the communications between you and Steve and the transmission of draft documents can be done by phone and email unless you choose an alternative method of transmission.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    When you and Steve are satisfied all of the documents have been drafted to your satisfaction, you will then meet in person to sign all of the completed documents.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Steve enjoys assisting his Christian clients think about estate planning from a biblical perspective.\u00a0 A biblical estate plan will reflect biblical principles of stewardship and will result in God being glorified through the use of the wealth which God has given you.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    PAYMENT<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    At the end of the initial meeting, Clients who choose to hire Steve Plaisted will be expected to provide an advance payment* to cover services rendered after an\u00a0agreement has been reached regarding payment for Steve Plaisted’s services<\/span><\/p>\n
